Original Work – Acrylic on Canvas – 30cm x 30cm
Seven Emu Station on the Gulf of Carpentaria was one of the most isolated places we stayed. Camped on the edge of a cliff, we overlooked the broad expanse of the Robinson River. Red was the colour of the place, red dust, red cliffs and red sunsets and sunrises. I managed to capture this flash of sunset on the red earth, yet within minutes the colours had changed again.
